The high-stakes meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska ended without a resolution to the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Despite being described as “great progress,” the almost three-hour-long talks at the Elmendorf-Richardson military station in Anchorage, Alaska, did not result in an agreement on the war in Ukraine.

Following the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the joint conference that the crisis in Ukraine was the main topic of discussion. However, after making brief remarks, neither Trump nor Putin answered any questions.
Trump claims to be phoning Zelensky and NATO leaders and declares that he and Putin have made “great progress” toward a deal.
Trump’s statement to Putin at the conclusion of the press conference that “we will meet soon” was an intriguing moment considering the response by the Russian president in English, ‘Next time in Moscow’, meaning the next round of talks should be held in Moscow.
