The Senior Men’s Selection Committee of the BCCI has announced India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi later this month.
The team will be led by star batter Suryakumar Yadav, with Shubman Gill named as vice-captain. The squad features a blend of youthful energy and experience, with all-rounders and versatile options picked to provide balance across departments.
The batting unit includes youngsters Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma, while the experienced Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube strengthen the middle order with their all-round skills. Axar Patel adds depth both with bat and ball.
Behind the stumps, India will rely on Jitesh Sharma and Sanju Samson, both providing flexibility with the bat as well. The bowling attack will be spearheaded by pace ace Jasprit Bumrah, supported by left-arm quick Arshdeep Singh and emerging pacer Harshit Rana. In the spin department, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy have been named to exploit subcontinental conditions.
Exciting finisher Rinku Singh has also been included, giving India an extra dimension in the lower order.
Additionally, the selectors have placed Yashasvi Jaiswal, Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar, Riyan Parag, and Dhruv Jurel on standby should replacements be required.
The squad represents India’s continued push towards a fearless, aggressive style of T20 cricket, while maintaining depth and options for various match scenarios.
